I don't like it because it shows up as a notification the same way PMs do (which I have turned off for a reason). The only reason I get PMs is from moderators, etc. so I really don't want messages. This isn't FB or something. If I don't want to be notified, I don't want to be notified. It just feels like I'm being nagged. LOL!

It's the fact that the mentions come up under notifications that bothers me too. I see I have a notification. Click on that thinking I have a PM. Find out I have a mention instead. It's annoying.

That said, I don't care much whether people mention me or not. I sure don't expect other people to remember if I like it or not. It would be nice to be able to turn it off though.
