Chat seems to be having an issue with loading chat messages that people send, so I have to keep refreshing the page every 30 seconds. This is very frustrating.

I am hoping this can be easily resolved.

Thanks!

When I try to pm people in chat .. it logs me out randomly. Sometimes it takes a short time to do so (1 or 2 sentences - when we are talking continuous) .. other times longer.. but always happens. Another thing it does .. if I stay within the rooms n try to pm with more than one person - it will not change the "recipient" off the first person to the second when I try to talk to the second. And a third thing .. if I chat from.the chat list outside of the rooms .. it will randomly scroll back into the history of the chat and will not allow me to scroll back to the current part but instead continuously glitches back to the same point in the history after it allows me to scrolls down a bit - but not all the way. All of these things make chat very annoying n since I am epileptic, the third glitch is a health risk for me.

One of the things I find that sometimes helps is if you log out of the forums, quit out of your browser completely and restart it, then log back into the forums and chat.

The chat software we use is no longer actively developed. This is a problem we keep coming across time and time again with these chat platforms -- the developers walk away from the project or service. We can always move to another one, but we know how much members hate changes like that. And we find that virtually every chat platform has its share of glitches for some members.

I do this about 30 times a day bc of how much this happens. And "30 times" may actually be less than the number I relog rather than an exaggeration. I may just go back to not using chat at all bc I am not willing to risk my physical health on top of my emotional, but some of the friends I have in chat do not use the forums so I would also be losing friends which I don't really see as fair. But then again life is not fair - and this world is even less fair. This is your site, make the decision you want - I just wanted you to know relogging works for less than a minute at times. Thanks.

Would you care to share the type of phone and OS (if you know it) you use, and whether you're connecting via cellular service or Wifi?

As we always ask, the more information you can provide us, the more likely it is we can try to be of help. Thanks!

*update on wifi - it shuts off automatically when battery life goes to medium (which is why light shows all the time) - it's a power savings selection I have on my phone, the "medium" choice ... however, this happens when both when battery life is full or medium/low, so wifi does not appear to affect it.
