By definition, poohbah is "a person having much influence or holding many offices at the same time, especially one perceived as pompously self-important." Does this help? I haven't had any coffee yet; my brain is asleep, sorry!

Ok, I am semi-awake (one mug of coffee down-one to go) On here, I think they use the term affectionately. Those of us who have posted a lot of messages, started threads, etc. Did I make this clearer or worse?
Off to get my second mug of coffee!
