I don't know what's going on, but this is the second time I have had to edit my Personal Profile because things have been added to it without my knowledge.

AND IT IS GETTING CREEPY!!!

I check it every once in a while, since the first incident, and now I have found that it changed again.

And just to let you know, I don't change anything in there myself, and I certainly would not attribute more (and strange) illnesses to what I already suffer.

What's going on????

Anyone else experience this?

I never have, hon, no.

can you tell me exactly what's changing. If you don't feel comfortable saying it here, you can PM it, OK?

It's in Basic Profile, at the bottom of page where it asks: "What kinds of issues are you grappling with in your life."

I show I have BPD. I have NEVER added a seconary issue, yet this is where the changes keep occuring. And I gotta say, the issues that are being added are disturbing to me.

Only one person knows my username, and NO ONE knows my password(s). I don't even write them down anywhere. If I forget it, I just ask for another (and yes, I do delete - completely - the e-mails that forward a new pw to me).

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before with their profile. If it has NEVER happened within the site itself, then I must assume it is happening by that one person IRL that knows about me.

If this is an issue that you (admin) would rather discuss privately, then I await a PM.

Thanks for your help!

So, do you think someone IRL changed it?

I have heard of filters one can activate that allows them to see everything that goes on - even in another user's set-up that is on the same computer.

I can well imagine that the "administrator" of that particular computer can see everything from everyone, including passwords??

If I have to assume that it was this IRL person, then it will mean a total collapse of a long-term relationship. That's why I need to be sure.

If it is just a glitch in PC's program, then that's one thing. I can deal with that. I can even deal with the fact that someone on the inside at PC is changing it (NOT that I am saying this is what's happening...), but if I approach this person, then the relationship dies right there and then, because, well, it speaks volumes about this person's psyche and where they stand with me. I doubt I would get the truth from them even if they did it. After all, not too many people are willing to come clean unless they are literally forced to.

I feel like I am being backed into a corner now. My "Personal Profile" Keeps Changing!

I just did a quick check of things and tested these fields related to this functionality from a programming point of view, and couldn't find anything obviously wrong that would be causing such an error.

Therefore it seems the most likely culprit is that someone has your password and you should change it to be safe. If it continues to happen after changing your password, please let me know.

I'll also keep an eye on these fields in my own profile and that of a test account to see if they change on their own.
