Hi. I was just reading a topic about dating issues in this forum, and I thought to suggest a dating forum for here. Ive also thought that would be good to be able to meet people who also deal or have deal with mental health issues. Its good to know someone who already knows you are dealing with this, so its not a secret and somthing you dont know how the other person would take. And also could be good to have a thing, a very important thing, in common.

In case a sub forum couldnt be made, its allowed by the rules to make a group on the forum, or a topic ?

You are always welcomed to start a social group on any topic you'd like. No need to ask permission for that.

I don't think there's been any demonstrated demand for this sort of forum and while I see the point of view, I don't think it would probably work very well given all the challenges around dating in general.

Hmm. I think would be good, Ive seen topics in other mental heealth forums from people asking for dating sites just for people with mental health issues. But good if you take it in consideration, maybe for the future. Anyway, thanks for read and reply.

there is already a relationships forum here where people can talk about their various relationships including dating problems associated with their mental health problems. you will find it here

https://mysupportforums.org/relation...communication/

Also for actual getting to know someone and going out on a date with them, you can google dating websites and mental illness. there are literally thousands of dating websites out on the internet. doing "online dating" here would not be good in my opinion. we dont use our real names or any real identifying information and we all have various problems with things like dissociation, hallucinations, delusions, mania, anxiety, depression just to name a few. putting that into a mix of us trying to "date" each other could be dangerous.

Im guessing from reading posts of many over the years Ive been here that many here like the fact that there is not a dating board here but there is a relationships board here. we dont date each other here but can talk about our mental disorders and relationship problems.
