I just realized all the pictures in my photo album from PC are missing. Did they not make it across the change to MSF?

Yes, we had two areas for photo albums because we implemented them as an add-on before the software included them as a feature.

So you have your old photos here:

https://mysupportforums.org/gallery/...1421&protype=1

And then you also have your photos as a part of your regular profile here. It doesn't look like you had a regular profile album before today?

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Doc John! I thought all my old photos were lost.

Is there a way to move pics from the old album to the new one?

Unfortunately, no. We've looked into it and nobody really ever made an import script to move images from the old gallery software to the new albums.

So we keep both around, since many people have photos in the gallery. But new members should stay away from the old gallery and just use the album functionality built-in to their profile.

I might be able to write such a script if there is need for it. Not sure I'm skilled enough to pull it off, but I wouldn't mind trying. Not until march though.

what I did on another site was used right click on picture, copy image, save to computer. that way my pictures were saved to my computer then I went to the site and deleted them from the photo album I was no longer using. this way my photos were safe and secure on my computer and could be reuploaded to new photo albums of my choosing.

I chose not to use online group photo albums because anyone who can see those pics can at any time use right click copy and save essentially stealing photos of me, my wife, children, pets and so forth and claim them as their own. you might say my younger days I was internet ignorant and now do things in a more safe and secure way.

Another option I use for my photos if I dont want to keep on my computer, I transfer documents and photos to thumb drives / flash drives that you can buy in almost any store these days as they are the side of a key chain but with lots of memory space. that way again my photos are never gone forever.
