my dear, from what I have seen, ubb is not much different, just a [ instead of a < .

Is there a certain thing you want to use HTML for, or is it for everything?

I have my sig line centered by HTML, but the rest of it is done in UBB...

Look all the way at the bottom, middle of this page, "Forum Permissions". It should say, "HTML is enabled" followed by "UBBCode is enabled". You have to know the HTML though, they only give the automatic buttons for the UBB. Too, not all HTML or Javascript, DHTML, etc. is allowed/possible; just the same sorts of things that are possible with the UBB.

hmm...i was talking about for my sig: if i put html in and then save it it works just fine. but if i go back to re-edit, it puts it in ubb code and therefore it doesnt do what i want it to anymore. its very irritating

Hmmm...I have both in mine, but I think my HTML is only for directions such as Center...

Yes, when you re-edit you have to re-edit the UBB Code too and change it back :-) This is a simple site with simple software :-) it does comparable stuff in the UBB of bulletin boards everywhere but doesn't support the fancier coding or anything like more advanced HTML or DHTML can do.
