I found something interesting. Seems like once upon a time there used to be a like button but members are in favour of it not being here:

Thank you for the suggestion. The gallery photo software is no longer in active development, so we can't add any additional features to it.

More generally, we aren't interested in making the forums any more like a social network with "likes" and "followers" and such. The kinds of issues people share here are not really things we want people to feel judged for, even if judgment wasn't meant by another member.

Thanks Doc John. This one of the things I really like about PC/MFS. It is safe to come here and not be judged.

Willow, you didn't do anything "wrong". You had an idea and made a suggestion. That's another thing I like about MSF. We are welcome to make suggestions. Some times things get changed as a result. Some times they don't.

If you like a post you could click on hugs or thank you. Nothing wrong with that. You seem to be concerned about popularity and have been suggesting different popularity measurements on this forum. Is being popular important to you? It’s important to a lot of people but this isn’t the right forum for it. Have you consider any venues where popularity is the actual thing?

I think it’s okay to suggest things and not see them materialise. Go easy on yourself
