There have been some recent posts in the forums that triggered me big time. What was said was not typical triggery material, it was more the way the posts were written. Is there a way that I could post how I feel about it? I don't want to stir up drama in the forums. I don't want to break community rules. I just want to process my hurting.

I don't want to call anyone out by name. I know that is against the guidelines. Again, I'm not trying to create drama. I want to be able to talk about how I feel. Staying quiet feels too much like when I failed to defend myself from abuse in the past.

I'm not even sure I should post this in a forum. If the question is inappropriate for the forum could an admin/mod pm me an answer and delete this post?

According to Harry Potter, chocolate is medicine. I believe that's true.

I hear you, liz. Of course, no one wants to stir the pot or break community rules. And then, having to be silent replicates the abuse so many of us took, but could not speak out against. I hope someone has good, solid suggestions for you and for all of us who encounter similar types of situations on the forum.

I'm not sure how you'd be able to talk about this topic without it coming up that you're triggered not by the topic being discussed, but how specific members here are discussing it. That would be against our guidelines, unfortunately.

This would be a discussion best for PM, or another community altogether. Sorry, that's probably not the answer you were hoping for.
