Hi, I’m hoping someone can advise on this, and my apologies if I’m posting in the wrong place. I notice my profile picture no longer shows against my name when I make a new post or reply to a thread. It just shows the default no profile picture place holder.

When I first joined it did appear, but I think the first time I changed it was when it stopped appearing. I’ve checked it is the right size and resolution, and it appears when I visit my own profile page, just not against my name when I post.

Thanks in advance, Jeff.

Hi @NovaBlaze I am sorry things are not working as expected. If I want to change my profile picture (the avatar is different) then I go to this page
https://mysupportforums.org/profile....editprofilepic

I chose Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer Note I had a gif image file which I deleted after saving it as a gif file. But when I went to reload it it would not reload. I used gimp to convert it to a jpg file. JPG definitely works but PNG may not. Try converting it to JPG. Also rename it to only letters and numbers no strange characters.

Navigate to the file and select it.

Then be sure to hit the SAVE button

Try that and see if that works for you and reply to this thread. [If you want me to see your reply to this post please include @CANDC in your message - not in requoting my message and not the first word of your message]

Just to add this to this... the confusing part for many is understanding that your profile picture is NOT the same as your avatar. Your avatar is what displays alongside any post you make. (Your profile picture only displays on your public profile page to other members are logged-in.)

You can upload or otherwise edit your avatar at the bottom of this page:

https://mysupportforums.org/profile.php?do=editavatar

Ahhhh, thank you, @DocJohn, this will be where I have been going wrong.

Cheers folks, thanks for the help. I’ll give the avatar a whirl.
