Why does my browser "click" ( assuming it's the browser trying to lock into a page) ... click click click click whenever I try to load a page with one of those counters in a post??? Sometimes it never loads (I've narrowed it down to one of two member's I think) but it clicks away when anyone with one has posted in the thread I'm trying to load.
Anyone else have this? I'm using VISTA, btw.. could be part of it's sensitivities??? ![]()

It is definitely something to do with those get-widget thingy counters and I agree it is highly annoying having the clicking and the page taking longer to load. ( I don't have vista btw.)

I don't think it's you; I think it's code run from another site so how that site is doing (how many people are using it at once, etc.) makes it faster/slower to update when someone clicks on it here.

Yes. You're loading the thread so it updates. It's like a picture loading from another site; it has to load each time you see it, adjust its skirts
