I received a strange pm this morning from a brand new member with no posts and nothing on the profile. I could be over-reacting, but it is very similar to the "looking for a date" messages that show up on yahoo instant messenger sometimes! Any suggestions/ideas? Has this happened to anyone else here?

Yes, there are a number of messages in General by people who got the same PM. Evidently the person who sent them has now been banned.

actually, i have to admit it's not the first time i'd had pm's like that...never knew what to do so just ignored them. |

Ah yes, but then it was stuck (the bat) and when I went to pull it out, it cracked me in the head. I have been "sleeping" since about 11 this morning

Always ignore the member when in doubt, and forward the PM to admin as an FYI type message, that it came unsolicited.
Trolls are few and far between here, thankfully.
