I couldn't find what I wanted so I have to resort to asking the question here.
What the heck is UBB code? Just curiosity Did a search but.....

Just stands for a forum software publisher's old name, Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB), which created some pseudo-code in order to allow people to format their bulletin board postings. A full list of stuff you can do is here:
