I know in the other forum, when we requested a read request on a PM, we would get a message back when it was read. I am curious as I have marked several with the read receipt & haven't noticed anything come back when they are read? Because I am looking for something similar to the other forum's format, am I missing how this one works, or is the read receipt on this one not working?

I know I am missing something & thinking it's probably me.

Hello, when you click on the 'Private Messages' tab there is a sentence that says, 'You have x confirmed read receipts and x unconfirmed read receipts.' As far as I can see, you do have to go check yourself whether someone has read your PM by clicking on that though.

Right. When you click on Private Messages, just under the drop down box (inbox, sent, categories) is that message. Click on that message and the page opens to messages not picked up yet that have receipts requested, and also then lists those messages already picked up.

You have to tell me in more detail. Click on Private Messages where? That does not happen for me when I click on Private Messages in Quick Links, nor if I select it from the Forum Jump menu.

Where it says, Welcome Pachyderm, right hand corner of your screen.

I still do not see any place where I can tell if my outgoing messages have been read. It could be that that is because none of them have not been read.

When you send a PM, there is a question asking if you want a read receipt, you have to tick a box to get it to do this.

Hover over "Private Messages" and "sent messages" will display.
Click on that and your sent messages will come up with an envelope icon on each showing the status of the sent message.
The key below is at the very bottom of the sent messages list:

Unread Message
Read Message
Replied-to Message
Forwarded Message

Where do you hover over the private messages? When I look at my sent messages, each has a symbol that looks like a chewed piece of paper, I can't see those symbols...

If you will see right under the Inbox (157 Messages) there is a line in blue that says "You have 75 confirmed adn 3 unconfirmed etc etc. If you click on that link, it will bring you to the list of confirmed/uncomfired message receipts I hope that helps!
