![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Do you know what this says because for the life of me I do not. It is becoming very annoying to read posts with all the cute little white boxes with x's in them. One advantage I guess is I don't know if someone is giving me a hug or spitting in my face. Please note, I am a frog of little brain so if at all possible I need the k.i.s.s. method to fix my problem. Of course that is assuming it can be fixed. Thank you

It sounds like you are having trouble acessing the images for PC.
They were all good emoticons.. Have you tried deleting your cache and cookies? I can walk you through it if you simply tell me what browser you are using. Something to try is to mouse over the image, right click and choose show or veiw image. That may bring it up. |

Thanks for responding so fast. Can't do much anymore tonight. I've taken my meds and nothing I do after that can be trusted.
Will try tomorrow. Thanks again

Ok...
deleted all pc cookies on my system, no longer a safe site, no pop ups are allowed, deleted from my favorites But did discover what the problem is...still have absolutely no idea how to fix it. On the emoticons I cannot see properties Type is not available but on the ones I can see the file type is listed. So how do I fix that part?

Does exactly the same for me and I have a squeaky clean pc. These particular smileys have never shown up as anything other than those annoying red crosses. I've resigned myself to the fact that that is the way it will have to be!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sometimes when you do that some of them do not appear as smilies, but the code for them replaces the intended smilie. I did not see that this time.

Well I still can't see most of the emoticons.
Did find out there are different types (not sure that is the right word) of gif files. That might explain why I can see some but not all. We a post comes through my email I can only see the code not the emoticon. The code show the emoticon coming from another site other than PC. Quess I'll just have to hope no one is throwing spit wads in my direction.

I wonder if updating your browser to the most current version would help with having the proper extensions to be able to see the emoticons might help?
I'm not real literate to this stuff either, but it's just a thought. ![]() sabby |

If you get a red x like this:
![]() ![]() What if ALL you get is red X's for all pictures on all sites? Most browsers allow you to turn off downloading pictures completely as a way to download only the text of a website faster. The first step would be to check to make sure that's configured properly. In Internet Explorer, that's in Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and then in the Multimedia section of the list, there's an item Show Pictures. If that's set properly to show pictures, then you might check to see if you have any ad-blocking or content filtering software installed. Sometimes they can erroneously start blocking everything that isn't text.

Sorry, but that didn't help.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just wondering, are we getting any help from Admin on this? Then there's the disappearing PMs and posts. What's with that? GGRRRR
