I was just wondering if it was possible to stumble upon a post/thread in PC using a search engine like Google.
I've noticed that most message boards are in fact searchable through Google. And since I and many other folks here post some pretty personal stuff, I was a little concerned that someone might accidentally stumble upon our posts. Mind you, I try to stay as anonymous as possible, but of course one can only do so much. I'm not sure if there are ways to block out the search engines...so, well, I thought I would ask. ![]() |

The old PC message board did not show up on google. I tried searching for PC posts on google a number of times using very specific phrases that should have shown up if it was included in google searches.
But I don't know if the new/current board has the same protections.

If you search for 'Psych Central' and your name, there will be hits. For me there are three hits... two are to posts I wrote, and one is a mention in a newsletter.
I thought the forums were not to be searchable by google? Who knows what may be revealed through other ppl's posts ![]() ![]()
