Is there any way to label the alert that comes up when there is a live chat going on?

"Attention: Live Chat Happening Now!"

I love how it alerts you but there are SO many people wondering what the topic is in the chat rooms, it seems like it would help.

(I know it's on the schedule but sometimes that's harder to find)

perhaps something like
"Attention: Live chat (place subject of chat here) Happening now!"
??

just a thought

Hi tsea,
Good luck with this one
We think it's a great idea, but DocJohn would have to make the software do it. That might not be too easy.
As, in a lot of cases, the "corrected for time" readings on peoples' calendars are wrong, this has been a continuing problem.
If you go to the "chats" tab at the top & get the time in site time & then apply your local time conversion factor, that works.
The "calendar" feature, on the other hand, is definitely still one hour wrong for us & we have tried all the different settings for daylight savings.
It is NOT our computer, lolol, we have checked that.

I also appreciate the suggestion and think it's a good one, but it's really dependent upon members to NOT go into a chat room and ask, "Hey, what's this chat about?" Instead, they need to first check the chat schedule and see what the topic of the chat is. I think it's rude for members not to expend the one extra click and 5 seconds of their time to check the schedule and instead just go into a room, interrupt the conversation, and ask what the topic is.

The whole point of having a schedule is so people can check it and know. We can't do much more than that.

well... i just wonder about people in other time zones? i could see them having trouble trying to convert it, especially if it's a day with a lot of chats. just a thought. if the times were in a zone from asia i'd have a really hard time converting it on some of my worse days... zones can be pretty confusing. but maybe some kind of reference chart could be posted under the schedule to help with this?

If members in different time zones have their information set correctly here, it will bring it up in their proper time zone area In your control panel, under Settings and Options/Edit Options, folks can set their time zone.

actually, sabby, this does not work, lolol.
our computer is set correctly & PC knows we are at GMT +11
we DO have the daylight savings thing set correctly (actually we tried all 3 settings)
BUT nevertheless all times for chat in our calendar are one hour wrong
they are worse on the other daylight savings time settings

this will be our last post on this matter, being at least the fourth, we give up

& we wish you knew a way to stop people coming to our chats & asking for a definition of dissociation, because it drives us MAD, lolololol.

(((( Zorah ))))

I know the time zone thing isn't working for you Don't know why that is...it's one of those things I guess. At least you know it's an hour off and you can try to adjust your thinking to that maybe?
