The picture uploader isn't working... again! I've tried uploading from my computer as well as from a URL and nothing.

I tried to upload some new pics to this site, Doc. Tried to start a new album so I could share pix in a Social Group. Like before, they didn't upload even doing just one pic at a time. I don't get any error messages. The picture just doesn't show when it seems the processing is done.
 Oh, I tried uploading from Photobucket.

Sorry I wasn't clear...
We have at least two different areas on the site where you might be trying to upload a picture. I need you to go to the area where you're having troubles, and copy and paste the URL from your web browser into a message here. If you don't do that, I can't tell where you're trying to -- on Psych Central -- upload a picture. Thanks.

This is the process I followed:
http://forums.psychcentral.com/gallery/useralbums.php http://forums.psychcentral.com/galle...ry.php?cat=728 Then I click on [upload photos] and it takes me to here; http://forums.psychcentral.com/galle...to.php?cat=728 I fill in the proper boxes. I get the box that says it's processing the pic. It takes a few seconds then acts as if it's finished but no pic. I hope this is the info you needed.

I think it might be because the album you tried creating/uploading to had quotes in its title, which unfortunately may have confused the software. Try it now (I edited the category to remove the quotes) and/or try uploading to a new album using no special characters.
Also, every member has another photo album under their 'My Profile' option. You might try using that one if this one continues giving you trouble. DocJohn

Thanks, Doc John. I'll give it a try.
Now I'm having problems adding a picture from an album to a Social Group. It tells me that the picture doesn't exist or that it's not from one of my albums. It IS in My Talents album, the only picture I've been able to upload to it.

The photo gallery has no connection to the Social Groups.
There are now TWO places you can upload photos to: 1. The old photo gallery (which you access through the Photos submenu) 2. The new vbulletin built-in photo albums, you access through "My Profile" tab Since Social Groups is part of the main forum, you have to upload photos to #2 to get them to be able to be used on other parts of the forum. We may just do away with #1 to reduce confusion. DocJohn

Simply clicking on "My Profile" gets me here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/usercp.php
Then I go here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/album.php?u=2561 That page only shows one album. I have three. Can't add pictures to the last album I'm trying to create from there. When I go here http://forums.psychcentral.com/gallery/useralbums.php I can see all three albums with the options to upload pics, delete, edit and sort photos, but I've only been able to upload one pic. Before, I had trouble uploading because the pic was too large. I've cut them down and several still won't upload. The pic of the lady bug was the only one that would upload and it's bigger than the others I've tried to upload. I'm lost! Quote:

Did you see a picture of a stuffed lady bug? http://forums.psychcentral.com/galle...ry.php?cat=728 That's the album I've been trying to upload pics to. The pics that you linked to are in another album.

It's working for the time being!
 I went in from the front page of the boards, clicked on Photos/My Albums and was able to access all three albums. I picked My Talents and uploaded from there! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Back to work!

As I said before, these are TWO DIFFERENT systems and they do not work together.
The Social Groups will only take a picture from your vbulletin album at: http://forums.psychcentral.com/album.php?albumid=64 It will not take it from another place. So all you need do is to upload any pics you want to share in your Social Group to the vbulletin album and then you should be all set. This is why I said we might shut down the other photo gallery, because of this confusion.... sorry about that. DocJohn

Ok... so how do I get my crafty pictures into the proper album? Is there a way to separate the pix after they've been uploaded? I'm thinking not.

Click here:
http://forums.psychcentral.com/album.php?u=2561 Click on "Add album" Then upload photos. If they are too big, you might have to resize them first before uploading.
