I have tried to respond to someone's posting w/in the newest newsletter&the system won't let me in. I can sign onto the website easily, but it says invalid user name or password every time I try to reply. Also, I just tried to start my own blog&was locked out of that with a message saying I had to be a member to get a blog going. If I can sign in&participate in the forum discussions, why can't I reply to the posting in the newsletter or get a blog? How am I NOT a member?

We're a ragtag group here, so many services on Psych Central -- including Psych Central Answers and user blogs -- need you to signup for a new account on that specific service. The Answers account becomes active immediately, as does the blog account.

Sorry for the confusion.

You created Psych Central didn't you? I'm glad you did&I love getting the newsletter. I've especially liked some of the articles that you've written&posted in the newsletter. Have you written any books I can read? I hope you didn't take my questions as an attack, I was just frustrated&am fairly new to the site&thought I might be doing something wrong. I'm good at doing that-being wrong.

Nope, no worries. Your frustration is one shared by many and we're always on the lookout for ways we can integrate all of these different accounts, but to date, there are few good solutions. So we just let people know that you can have a bunch of different accounts for different services here... Hopefully one day we'll get it all worked out and working together.

Happy to help. I have written a book, but it's out of date and I wouldn't really recommend it any longer. It's about finding mental health and psychology resources online.

Best,
DocJohn

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
