We have begun to receive weird messages from a site called "tagged"
It has our paid email addy, our true name, area we live in , & even a pic of us that must have been stolen from one of our photobuckets, because we have never sent it to anyone As we never joined this site we have no idea what the passy would be supposed to be & it won't let us delete the account coz we don't know the passy We are terrified, some of these ppl live quite close to us, & they are men ![]() Can anyone help us with this ?

Morning...
Checked the website and, as Katheryn said, it's a social networking site and you register for an account. http:// corp.tagged.com/ has information on contacting them; left side under contact info. Report to them what's happened and they can shut down the account--after they investigate to see who did it. Do you have security software on your computer? When I visited the site none of mine alerted me, although that doesn't necessarily mean it's a safe place. Also, does your email account enable you to report abuse/spam? Good luck! Cap

Katheryn...looks like we were doing the same thing at the same time--great minds think alike
![]() I'm going to run a deep scan now while we pack up to go to Macon for Christmas with my son. Interesting to see if it picks up anything...

Thanks everyone, for your care
We don't have yahoo & we run a Linux OS, which USUALLY doesn't get viruses from windows sites. We have a suspicion about who might have done this. We think it might have been a malicious act by someone we know quite well who is bi-polar. Maybe he has gone into manic phase, we had to cut all contact with him some months ago. When we went to check the source of the picture, we discovered that one of our photobuckets (our business & personal one naturally) had a sign on it saying it's security had been compromised & there are only 6 pics left in it of hundreds. They said it was a general problem with photobucket, so CHECK people. Our other photobucket has not been compromised. If he was really bored on xmas day & manic, it is possible he guessed the passy to our personal photobucket, but the message from photobucket did say they had been having security problems in general. We did report to the "tagged" site that we had not started the account & that we were extremely unhappy about our photo being placed there by someone, but the damage is done really ![]() We can't get that info back from anyone who might happen to have downloaded it ![]() some of the emails were fairly disgusting, but we doubt anyone would recognize us now from that pic, which is around 3 years old, we did wonder if our ISP might take action if we reported it, what do you think ? after all someone used our paid email addy to sign up (how would they know the password for that ?) & obviously our net security has been breached all accounts associated with PC seem secure, we don't want anyone to think that we think PC is the source of this , we don't.

zorah, there is another thing called "grouply" that is some kind of site that invites you to put all your different social sites into one. it is bad and will put virus' on your computer and i can't remember all the bad things it does. i just happened to get warned and then it showed up two times and we spamed it and it stopped showing up.
i'm so sorry this rotten thing happened to you. that would be very triggering for me and i can guess it is just rotten for anyone to experience this. i hope you can resolve this soon!
