I realized today that I have been using my computer administrator account to surf the net. NOT a good idea.
Supposedly, everyone needs to surf the net with an account that has standard allowances only, to block any BOT control of the computer. If the user account has admin options, then a BOT can also enter in and change and use etc. those options. You wouldn't even know it. This is a simple way to help block undesirables from promoting anything on your "dollar." Just thought I'd pass it along.

I think I just had a light bulb moment! ... Can I make a new "Administrator Account" to be the main account and change the one I use to non administrator?
Would that work? ... I know just enough to get myself into trouble ![]() |

Very easily done Liberada, create a new account with admin privledges then alter the privledges of the other account. (In windows in the control panel) All of your stuff safe and sound right where you left it but no admin powers. I find it very frustrating working on a non admin account. When I want to do something having to switch users and all that. What it really boils down to is that I once had to reformat an entire computer (back when it was like a 6 hour process) because I could not remember the password to my admin account.
