i know in the realm of things this is pretty pathetic but i am what i am....(i know i sound like popeye)...but when i go to write posts i can't get them to make paragraphs with spaces and then when i am done i can't get the little smiley guy that i like to put with my name to show up...(used to put cursor where i wanted smily with shades, hit smiley then there he would be...like magic)i used to be able to do both...now i can't seem to do either.i always type in lower case (if it makes a difference)i can't recall changing the settings but maybe i did in a spinach deprived moment..any ideas....a so sad stumpy

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with even the simple things like smileys...it can be so frustrating can't it, when things that are "supposed" to just happen don't. I don't know when your "used to be"s were, but the site did change some, along with the smileys. Try clicking on the [more] link on the right under the small chart of smileys and double check your favorite one. It might have changed it's tag?

thanks.i'll try that...just like i am trying to see if i can make little paragraphs now. maybe my odd little style of writing is suddenly screwing up the computers response mode or something. it didn't before...just within the past few days it seems.i just miss my little smiley guy with shades. it's hard to be amused stumpy with no smiling guy with shades.okay..hitting more doesn't make a difference either...I NEEDS SOME HELP. stumpy

Boy, my mind isn't running on all clicks this morning... but do you see other post's smileys, or none at all? Do you see other's pictures in posts? If you don't see either, then you have your pictures turned off....

Ok... I'm not sure but maybe there is an option in your display... back on your mail page, side column? To block images?

There are plenty of ppl who can help you here.. hopefully they'll catch this thread and do so.

I was having the problem with not being able to make the paragraphs about the same time as you were.....everything was running together & none of the buttons on the post were working. I could hit the add reply & reply, but none of the buttons on the top were working, so I couldn't get my fonts or anything that required a button. I would type it out so it looked like I had paragraphs, but as soon as I posted, it all ran together. I had gotten into a strange state. I logged out of PC, turned off my computer & then brought it back up again.

After doing that, it started working right again. I was using firefox rather than internet explorer & it seemed that it might have ended up in a strange state, but now that you posted about the paragraph thing....maybe something was going on here????
