i too have TBI on top of my TBI~~
i believe that PTSD is a form of Traumatic Brain Injury.
i also believe that we can heal our brain, substantially, by reforming neural connections.

i have used Binaural Beats, a stereo sound technology, in conjunction with meditation and brain challenging activities to restore most of my lost functions, and am still recovering 24 yrs later. if you are interested in investing your time in some of these activities, i'll drop some links for you:

Binaural Beats: the therapeutic formulation is only available at CenterPointe.com. the site owner and therapy designer can make a terrible first impression, but he is actually very kind and generous. his product seems expensive, but it can take up to seven (7) years to complete the course and obtain the results.

if you want to try these out before you buy, there are many free links on YouTube:

(this page contains many links to other sites, i don't recommend listening for more than an hour the first 10 times... and ALWAYS use stereo ear phones.)

there are several forums here in PC for supporting meditation:
http://forums.psychcentral.com/mindfulness-meditation/

Other Treatments - Forums at Psych Central

remember to check out the original Member Group of the Member Forums.
i wish you the very best of recoveries~!
