I agree too. It is lonely but a bad relationship is worse.

I wish we could get more battered women on board with this idea. Not saying you are a battered woman. But I have dealt with a lot of women who deserve so much better, will not leave the abuser and there's nothing you can say or do to get them to. That lack of self esteem is a hard one to get past. I guess the only way to break the cycle is one try to teach our children to have better self esteem. And that they don't have to stay is an unhappy and/or abusive relationship.

If what some people want is to be in a healthy relationship, then neither being in a toxic relationship nor remaining alone and unhappy are optimal.
