Hi everyone,

I might posted this more than once, but just to show you guys and girls my enthusiasm and the sense of achievement I felt after I finished the amazing book " The Psychology of Shame" by Gershen Kaufman. It is truly a must read experience that will delve you on a deeper discovery and introspection to discover your " Shame Profile"

So basically Gershen kaufman book about shame is based on Silvan Tomkins theory of affect and script. Once you start reading the book, you will get the basic understanding of scripts, language, imagery, governing scene basics. And my God, Breaking down and analyzing the shame profile is truly an eye opening I'm sure most of you will relate to. Low grade chronic depression, anxiety, contempt, anger and other negative affects we might suffer from are rooted back to the Shame our souls experience everyday. As the book describes it " The self turns against the self" " the sickness of the soul" " shame spiral" and the splitting of the self. The need for integrating the disowned parts of the self is the only work towards reclaiming our true selves and the peace of mind we long for.

By far the best book I've read so far, and Gershen Kaufman is my hero now. Its just baffling to my mind that there are people on this planet who have the gifts to dissect the human psyche to such critical degree. I went so far that I ordered the Silvan Tomkins books and the other books by Gershen. I really recommend everyone to have some quite time and invest a lot in this magnificent book.

Thank you Gershen Kaufman from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks for this!
