TRIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just watched the video of the elderly man shot in Cleveland. OMG how can someone be so evil to do that to an elderly man? I hope there's a special place in h___ for the shooter and I hope he suffers forever.
What was amazing is that the family was interviewed on CNN and they say they forgive the shooter, that he's sick, and that they would embrace him now and forgive him. I couldn't do that, no way. Could you? Guess I will have nightmares tonight. *sigh*

I've stayed away from the videos just for that reason. Hopefully they catch the guy soon.

And no I couldn't forgive that easily.

I hope so. I can't imagine having that type of faith that would let me forgive someone for doing that to my elderly father walking down the street and video taping and posting it live on FB. The depth of his evil is beyond what I can comprehend.

Yes it's beyond my comprehension too that someone could be so vile.

What bothers me is here in our news they are already talking about mental illness. He has to be mentally ill because of what he did. Most mentally ill people will never do something like this but that stigma is there that this is what mentally ill people do.

What if he's not mentally ill what if he's just plain evil???

I agree. It's not fair to tag all mental illness with this type of behavior. Looking at the suspects face you can almost see the horns coming out of his head. I hope someone other than the police find him and take him out after they make him suffer. Is it just me or does it seem like there is so much more killing these days, especially kids, by parents or family members. Truly an evil world

I don't know if it's because of the media and how connected the world is we hear about it more OR if the world really has gotten more evil I just don't know but I do think we are getting more callous and it takes more to shock us.

Thank God the suspect took his on life at a traffic stop, just what I suspected that coward to do. But at least he will not kill anyone else. RIP Mr.Robert Godwin Sr.

No, I stayed away from that. I had a reaction to the United Airlines thing believe it or not. I've been triggered by so much lately; going to stay away from them. My mind feels fried.

It is amazing to hear forgiveness in such a situation.

Seems like you're feeling better now Trace.

Raindrop-It bothers me too, to hear "mental illness" associated with things like this.

I do feel safer knowing that man is gone for good. Now I'm getting stressed about the therapy session tomorrow. I hope there will come a day when I will not get so wired about a session coming up.
The United Airlines thing didn't bother me. Pretty typical situation in today's society. But I think the airline is making some changes now to prevent that from happening again.

This touched close to home with me I live here in Cleveland. Easter Sunday like most of us saw that horrific video. I clicked on a story that said mass shooting in Cleveland many dead I clicked link thinking it was to the news source not the actual video. I have no words for that video other than that man was straight up evil!!! What is even more alarming the guy who shot the elderly man was a mental health case manager for kids. This guy you would imagine would have the resources to know where to get help if he truly" "snapped". The women (his gf) he referenced in the video is a supervisor at another mental health agency. The county mental health dept has no come forward to make any statements. If I was a consumer at either agency I would want to hear something to help ease my mind that my provider isnt a killer.

I am glad this is over not the way I wanted to see justice for that elderly man

I had no doubt this would end this way. But it is justice for that elderly man knowing this guy will never walk this earth again. So very sad and so sorry it happened in your city.

The session did go well. I can see progress but it's taken a lot of work. Work I didn't want to do, at all, but thought I would try my best and it's worked out. It's just going to be a long process to get to where I want to be but it will be worth it to get there.
How's your therapy going now?

Good to see you making progress. And how long have you been in?

My therapy has evened out a bit, so this week's session went ok. Then later this week I had a medical procedure done, which really triggered me. It was terrible how everything went down. I need to see my therapist again, but don't think I can until Monday.
