Saw this quote and I have mixed emotions about it. At first I really liked it and then I thought about a little more. What's your thoughts on it?

F.E.A.R. has two meanings:
"Forget Everything and Run"
or,
"Face Everything and Rise"
The choice is yours.

Thanks for this. I tend to waffle between the two choices.

I personally see it as too black and white, I think we all would want to be the "Face everything and rise" but that's easier said than done, I think. Just my opinion though.

I agree. While I often totally avoid things that scare me or I know will cause me anxiety, I also have faced many situations and worked through them despite that. Sometimes it's been easy and I was left wondering why I was so afraid to begin with, other times it's been pure hell.

I am better at facing fear at work than at home. It's so darn easy to come home on Friday evening, and despite wanting to go do something new, just stay home instead.

I don't know... When the amygdala is triggered it overrides the power of the temporal lobes. I think you have to tame the amygdala first!

That was very interesting. Amazing how many different phrases can come from a word. Thanks for sharing.

I am somewhere in between both extremes.
it really depends on how I am doing at the time.
Great question!
