I had several job applications recently, most of which failed because I flunked the job exams. I'm a recent college graduate, unemployed, and feeling stupid. I want to penalize myself somehow but I know it won't make things better.

Being unemployed is hard enough. The question is, on these job exams, are the specialized for your skill set or general exams like math and stuff? If the exams are in your area, you may want to polish up on some stuff. If they are general, I would beat yourself up. By the way, when was the last time beating yourself up did any good? It doesn't help, makes things worse. Been there, done that. Keep at it. This is a "jobless economic recovery" as in some cities have really high unemployment rates. I'd say to come here for support, then dust yourself off and get back on the horsey. Keep trying, good luck and keep posting!

What field? Can you take a test review course or anything, try to learn how to get better scores?

You could look up job exams on the internet and practice. Were the exams timed? Timed exams make me nervous because I want to make sure I am answering correctly.

They're timed. The ones requiring you to answer about 50 items in 10 minutes.
