I have had so much to deal with, that I think my happy emotions are numb. I want to be happy! I want to be excited about things and look forward to doing stuff... but I feel let down so often that now, I am just here. I still have some anxiety, when I worry and I feel stressed out from time to time. I am sort of sad most of the time, depressed. I used to love to sew and do crafts, good movies, but now, I just feel like I could have been doing something productive instead of wasting my time ... so I dont really enjoy it.

I want to feel something other than sad.

Hobbies are never a waste of time. In some sense there is always something else you could be doing thats "more important," but your happiness is important too. Don't deny yourself something that makes you feel good. Sometimes in this crazy world it's all we have. I enjoy video games but even though they don't provide anything beneficial, I do it because I like it.

Sad feelings suck. I hope it passes soon.

Hi ~ If this has been going on for quite awhile, you might better get an appointment with your doc and talk to him about it - you might need an antidepressant. But if this just started in the last couple of weeks, wait and see. Sometimes we get into these "funks" during winter and we come out of them alright. I know what you mean though. You don't feel much like doing anything, and nothing gives you any real joy.

I've been depressed most of my life, so I haven't felt like doing much of anything in a long time. I do take an antidepressant and it works quite well -- but I still don't feel "normal" (whatever that is). I used to paint, draw, crochet but I haven't done any of those things in years. I suppose alot of it is just getting all the stuff together -- it makes such a mess. LOL

If this doesn't ease up soon, make the appointment with your doctor. There isn't any point in suffering. I wish you the very best. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee

Thanks for this!
