I'm not up to date on this region- are things getting bad there? I know it's so sad seeing people starving and with all the wealth in the world, you would think no one should go without food. It reminds us how we need to be grateful for the food on our tables everyday. There's a charity group where you can buy a live cow, goat or chickens for a family or struggling single woman - this is a way yo can feel directly involved, opposed to just giving money to one big organization. Also stick with reputable oraganizations like the Red Cross. The fact you feel empathy shows you have a good heart. Sorry this is so upsetting for you.

thanks lynn.
I'm sure if it gets bad enough the whole world will know about it. Yes the red cross is one of the best org's to give to. In the uk we have many charities that try to do a lot.
And yes i agree, i am grateful for the food on my lap in my tiny loft bedsit, and for every thing i have.
Its why i say grace before every meal (everything that goes into my body i thank the Lord/ MotherEarth for it).

Thanks for the reply.
Take Care.
