You will need to register. It's free. Based on a group consensus, we all go by our first names vs. a chosen username out of respect to all there using theirs. ie. I am there as Lis. ![]() i am also highly considering starting up some Skype EA Meetings. PM me if you are interested. ![]() Last edited by chrysalis22; Jan 16, 2012 at 07:08 PM. I am sorry you feel POOP, but that is life. :O)
it is part of that path of this universe. Each person has personal power to be a cool gent or a cold jerk. EA, or any 12 step, or any program is only as good as the people in it, enjoy your stay, it is not 'the' program you are loving but the people guided by okay precepts, that are great. Any system can go hinkey. so don't be too hurt when you are mistreated within that or any system, or program. I agree, EA is pretty nice and I am getting some benefit from it as well. wish that that EA group I go to could coach the other 12 step groups to follow their example. nuff said. _S_

The local EA meetings are not possible for me to get to. Is there an online forum? I notice from the links above that there are online meetings at particular times. A forum would be nice...

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |

I to agree with how systems are places to begin.... it really has a lot to do with the dynamics of how we treat one another. There aren't a lot of EA groups here, it would be helpful though. |

Inculcating powerlessness is a horrible thing, IMO.
