In 2006 I was a witness to murder while my
Dad was in the hospital. I wrote a statement now
6 years later I'm more than likely going to be called to
Court. I have never dealt with the event due to the fact that I
Was dealing with the fact that my dad was dieing. Now I'm
Being forced to face the events head on. While I know I
Owe it to this family I can't deal with the sadness and
Trauma of reliving this.

Sounds like a very hard thing to face alone. I've read your other posts and it doesn't sound as if you have any support structure in real life to help you through this. Are there any victim support groups nearby? I know you aren't the victim here but you could use the support.
I hope you can go through with this but it's your decision of course. Please keep posting...there are some very supportive people here

Wow ~ Do you have ANY family that could help you thru this? If not, talk with the court advocate and see if they could help you while you're going thru this. They might have someone there who can stand by you while you're in court, etc. I KNOW they have advocates there, as I've had to use one myself. They are helpful, so check into that -- I'm sure in your case, they'd be glad to help.

I would also recommend that either before or after, you get into therapy to help you deal with this, as I'm sure you're probably also dealing with some PTSD. (post traumatic stress disorder) You'll need some therapy to help you with this. I wish you the very best, and keep us posted, ok? And you can keep posting here too. God bless. Hugs, Lee

((((Likeabird)))) i echo the other members sentiments in every way...my heart to yours. You are not alone and you will get through this.
Please reach out to the courts and to victim advocate associations in your area. Also, please continue to post here. You have support and we care.

Hugs to you,
Rose
