He had a severe stroke and his brain has swelled. He is going to die. He has a 1% chance. Even if he lived he wouldn't be able to feed himself or talk.

I'm so sorry. Life stinks at times especially when your grandpa is not doing well. I know he probably would not want to live that way either. I know I would not. He will miss you very much!...And if it be his choice he would not want to leave you either.

I am so sorry, coffee.
 Have they put a stint into his brain to relieve the pressure from the swelling? I hope so! I know that taking preventative measures may seem pointless at this point, but I have cared for many wonderful people who had less abilities & they did still find some enjoyment in living life. It isn't easy to accept these changes in life, but it does help a person gain an easier time accepting the end when it does come. Gentle hugs to you and your family ~ you are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry. I completely know how you are feeling...i lost my grandpa 2 weeks ago. I send hugs your way...just remember he is no longer in pain. Doesn't make it hurt less, but now he is always with you...
