All these advises are very true, and it requires practice practice practice to make any significant change. It's similar to physical conditioning, but it's much harder because ANTs overwhelm us so quickly, and we have many triggers to keep us there. It's exhausting work with little or no reward for some time, and I keep going back to the same old crap. Be patient. Care for yourself enough to continue, and reach out for support like that on PC. For some reason, just knowing that I'm not alone, lifts my spirit, and helps me to continue.
