I feel this quite often, and am not sure why, but I figured I'd ask what are some healthy ways of dealing with this feeling?

Hi Fluery29, can you tell a little more about this? I feel this way alot and know a lot of others here do too and have some good ideas on it. I don't really have it done pat yet, but reading and posting on this forum, and talk about it with others here and it helps a lot. Since theres lots of forums, be sure to check them out, because theres others here who can shed some light.

oh and leila, yeahh.. talking about things is cool, though sometimes ( or at least in my case) it's even more depressing.. talking about how depressed/ suicidal you are, with other people feeling the same from a long way away.

it's comforting to know that you can do it, but it's also frustrating sometimes... i mean like you're in england talking about your feelings to someone in say australia, they can't do too much to help

words arn't always the anser

What I like to do is exercise. It makes me feel great and it's good for you in so many ways! If you have something you like to do, like listen to music or draw, you can do that. Volunteering I found was also very helpful for me too!

Good Luck!

Thanks for this!

What if all you want to do is curl up in a ball and just not feel any emotion?

I derive very little pleasure from doing things and I agree with ShatteredSanity. I find it very difficult to get much solace from people giving me fake hugs and virtual emotions over the net.

However, I suppose I want to at lease feel connected to some group of people and look for commonality. A sense of normality when everything seems like its through a looking glass.

I'm only trying to kid myself.
