I am so upset!!!!
As you all know, I just recently moved to North Florida from South Florida, for various reasons, one of which is the people and the fact that I feel my children would not be surrounded in the rat race of where we were. But, I guess no matter what, you can't escape the humans!!
Yesterday we had a TDS Telecom technician come over to the house to finally hook up the internet. A joyful event was quickly turned depressing!! The technician STOLE from my house!! He came to a house where there's an unemployed mom with three very active, loud children, weeks before Christmas and STOLE!!! FIFTEEN years in South Florida, countless technicians in and out of the house there, I move here to get stolen from. My holidat spirit is shattered!!! I amm so disappointed in people.... wish today the world WOULD end!!

I am so sorry that happened to you. Did the technician do it while you were there? I know usually they require that you be home when they come for the installation appointment -- (I'm thinking the cable company mainly).

I totally understand how angry and upset you feel -- made doubly worse by it happening during the Christmas season.

I hope you reported it to the company that he works for. Perhaps they will make good on it. Make sure you call them! Those guys are supposed to be bonded in most states. I don't know about Florida.

Call the company. It might turn out okay! God bless. Hugs, Lee

I contacted the company very publicly by posting on FB. They removed it and eventually contacted me. They're based out of WY, so not sure how that works out. They asked me a few questions and told me they'd be investigating. They asked if I reported it to the police, but I hardly see where reporting the theft of $120 is worth the hassel, but I'm afraid that the company may see that as a way around it instead of motivation to make it right. I don't want to call the cops. I don't like them, I don't see why they should be involved, unless the company does not make it right. I hope they do something. Oddly enough, I really don't want to get anyone in trouble... I just find it really crappy that someone would do this during a season for giving, not stealing. I just want my stuff back... I wasn't planning on spending this time wondering if some company is going to be on my side?!?! Holidays are already a crappy time for me, this was the cherry on top!! People ultimately SUCK!! I'm so disappointed, disenchanted and just down right depressed with the whole thing!
