sooo,

i'd like some suggestions- when you have lots of rushing thoughts in your head all at once, how can you focus on 1 particular bad thought (has anyone even done it?)

it's my latest suggestion from the samaritans and so i'm asking how you guys do it

like.. how do ya prioritise.

make sense?

It does make sense, I have been having the same problem. I will ask my therapist and keep you updated with solutions. She is a wonderful T, I'm sure you will find some helpful. <3 Good luck.

I keep it simple. I select one or two, then work at it routinely to develop positive feelings.

I'd recommend writing a list of all those rushing thoughts ~ good and bad; significant and insignificant. Once you've written your long list, you can then work on prioritizing the list of importance. Circle the issues that are most significant to your daily life NOW.

That technique really has worked for me. Hope that it helps you!!

Foreget focusing on bad thoughts, just let them go, and let them fizzle out.
