I hear my friends complain of being single and not finding the right guy, and asking is it too much to want to be in a happy committed loving relationship.... and i wonder if it is so much harder to achieve and maintain that if you have any mental health issues, or if its just as hard for everyone?

i was married for 12 years and had committed my affections to my wife for 25 years. we met at a support meeting for mentally ill people that had no staff. we loved and were devoted to each other, though we both strayed, but with each others permission. i supported and contained her, as needed; and she me. she died in my arms in november of last year. i owe her my life today, cuz i wanted to die when i met her in 89. i love her forever and a day ((()sweetie madmoiselle)))marie antoinette....reincarnation maclaine shirley mammma mommy...

I think it is. To me having having mental illness and going into a releationship makes it seam like im down a point so to speak. I feel lucky I found someone that makes my life better. Although it almost didnt happen. She blew me off when I first asked her out, but then she changed her mind. I guess you just have to find that person that works with you and you for them and both of you figure it out at the same time.
