Oftentimes I will find myself in a room full of people and feeling completely alone. My chest hurts and my sting because I am so sad and my heart is so broken. Last night I had at least five different people ask me if something is wrong just cause they catch me looking off and I can't help it. But I don't want to stay in and be all alone, but I still feel alone when I'm surrounded by people. How do I cope with this emotions of heartache in a public setting?

sorry for how you are feeling.

i guess my only advice is to take someon with you... a good friend, or someene who you just feel close with.

that might ease the pain a little
Thanks for this!

Try taking someone with you and try to meet new people together! Meeting new people is a great way to not make you feel lonely!

The way our modern culture is, we are all sperfical in social settings. If you don't like the small talk, social gatherings are not for you.

I can relate a lot to what you're describing. A few years ago my heart was aching a lot and I felt very alone although I wasn't physically alone. What helped me was to write about my feelings and thoughts on forums such as this to get support, and connecting to people made me feel less lonely. If you have someone that you trust in reality, you could talk to that person (when I've had people I've trusted in reality that I've talked to I've felt better afterwards).
Thanks for this!
