Ever since I was little, I could not take jokes. I always took things pretty seriously and at times allowed myself to cry many hours. I mean, when someone jokes about someone I don't find it that bad but when someone jokes about my getting others in trouble I'm just like what the heck? Why am i the one who gets accused? Like today when I was at the library and my friends were joking around blaming on others for talking so loud, they all pointed fingers at me. They may have found it amusing, but i didn't. Why? The librarian was in front of me and he felt that it was all okay and he smiled too. I just feel humiliated.

Could be.that you don't like being the focus of attention.
Could be hypersesitivity where you perceive harmless comments as hurtful.
Hard to say.

you've hit the nail right on the head, yellowfrog. when two or more people are teasing me, I just feel like i'm being ganged up and that i'm trapped in a corner even though I could just let them tease me and still be nonchalant.
