Today I learned that someone in another country hacked my bank account and has been racking up charges.

Then my work from home job starts giving me trouble. The web-interface used to do the job is malfunctioning so I couldn't work as usual. Making matters worse, I needed to submit my billing invoice by a certain time today in order to be payed on time. Problem is, information about my work hours are stored on the website that I couldn't get to and I had four weeks worth of invoicing that had to be done by a certain time today without exception or I wouldn't be paid until August.

Seems like I went through a range of emotions from panic, anxiety, anger, and basically a "**** it" type of feeling.

I don't bounce back from these types of stressors very well. Even once things have been resolved I still cannot get back to a place of calm. Even worse when my schedule gets messed up. I hate that.

Talk about an emotionally taxing day!

Wow yellowfrog, I'm so sorry to hear that news. I can understand not being able to deal well with stressors. Gosh, since I've been depressed this year & developing anxiety I have trouble with little stressors like running late or getting a little lost in the car - things that never used to bug me. I hope you can take care of some of the logistical stuff soon, even though I know that and feeling calmer will take you a bit of time.

Hugs, Gracez

I have the "when it rains it pours" syndrome as well. What I've found in life though is things always get back to normal somehow and work themselves out. It'll come!

Hi Gracez,

I've filed a fraud claim with the bank and they have replaced the funds so that part is taken care of. They asked me if I would be willing to prosecute the offender if he/she was found. I of course answered YES! As for the work stuff, all seems quiet on that front for now.
I just hate having so much stress coming down on me all at one time. Also, I have great difficulty multi tasking under normal circumstances, even worse when multiple stressful events are pulling me in different directions at the same time.
Thanks for following up.

Sometimes it can be so overwhelming to deal with everyday life, I wonder how any of us make it through.

BTW, it sounds like you're handling it well, and doing all the right things to try to remedy what happened- stay strong!

I think the Hacking Your Bank Account and "Work From Home Job" are connected. Quit that job now!! ASAP! You will feel much better.

Thanks Thunder Bow but the bank told me that it was only my debit card that was hacked, the actual bank account itself is safe. The job only has my bank account number (for direct deposit of my paycheck) not my debit card number. I think this was related to purchases on ebay.
