These are things I have covered some in the Positive Outlooks chat and people are asking me to post them here so they can work on them and not have to write it all out.
These are activities that can be done and put in a book/journal/binder/etc. and shared with a Therapist if you would want to. Having these can be helpful when you are feeling down you can look at them. It also helps to help your brain think more positively. Hope these help! I will post more as chats happen. Make a list of the things you like to do that bring you pleasure: SELF CONFIDENCE PART ONE Think of a situation in which you experienced confidence and a feeling of satisfaction and self worth. Answer the following questions. 1. What is the situation? 2. What do you say to yourself about the situation (self talk)? 3. How do you feel physically? What sensations and feelings do you have in your body? 4. What do you do as a result of this? |

When a child’s emotional needs are not met and a child is repeatedly hurt and abused, this deeply and profoundly affects the child’s development. Wanting those unmet childhood needs in adulthood. Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |

I actually had to look up what a trait was to try and figure out what triats I might have that I admired about myself.

i found myself noticing more what things make me laugh. it's good to be reminded to pay attention~
