Iv been on this site for ages now. But I left a couple years ago due to having no laptop. Anyways a few times over the years iv popped back on. But every time I go in the chat I feel like a loner. I know its not the case but it feels like everyone is one big family and im intruding. Everyone is so friendly but I end up saying hi then watching for ages. I never know what room to go in. I just feel like im in the way. Like I have walked into someone elses house and I shouldnt be there! does anyone else get this?

I understand what you are talking about. I think for me it's because I have never been active in a chat room. And I think it is because, it really confuses me more than I feel like I'm intruding. By the time I post about something the subject has moved on. I just don't know how to jump in and function in a chatroom. I guess sometimes it leaves me feeling a little left out.

I understand the left out feeling you are talking about. it seems there are cliques in chat just like in real life. I have found it helpful to find one person in chat to talk to and then I feel as if I am a part, but the real place I have found a home here at pc is in games, especially thread wars. we are a real family there. we share about our problems and support each other thru out the game and really have gotten to know one another. youre welcome to join in.

I too feel a bit lost on this website. I am clicking on all sorts of stuff and just giving it a go. Mostly I came here for support and learning about how to cope with stuff. I think its a matter of keep going, try things and sooner or later it will hopefully work better for you.

I have been a member for a while now and can't get to grips with the whole chat room thing. I try on occasion but often come out like you feel. It feels so 'clicky' but I am sure this is just my warped perception of it! Don't take it personally, I think more than you know feel the same way
