I can't handle life anymore. It's so empty. There's nothing left to do I keep reaching the point where I just go to bed early. I'm sick of distractions. I'm sick of movies, books, games, walking, and all other distractions. I don't want to be distracted. I want to be happy

Regarding being Happy~
Getting out of our own way, our own head is sometimes the best way to help ourselves.

The happiest I have been in a long time is when I volunteer. I do mine at a hospital. I work in the Intake Lab, where people come to receive their chemo therapy. You would think it is depressing, but no! It is uplifting, inspiring, and makes me grateful that I am not facing this particular pain in life.

The people I meet, the patients, their families & friends who support them, make me so grateful for the opportunity to give a kind word, the little comfort I can provide. It doesn't seem like much, but I always leave feeling better, happy even. It is filling a need for them and fulfilling a need in me.
Check out the website volunteermatch.org in your community to see if there is a place you might donate some time. It might help you more than you can imagine. It might be a step toward a happier place in your head & heart... it works for me.
Best of luck my dear ~

I looked up volunteering opportunities. There's pretty much nothing near me that I can do. I have no car so I can't really drive anywhere.

Forget the "Shouds" and "Have To". Do what you feel like doing at that moment in time.

there are some online opportunities...you can join Librivox and read books for people.
Thanks for this!
