What can I do with anger emotions? What are healthy ways of dealing with anger? I usually take it out on myself or just suppress it but I'm trying to change and find healthy ways of releasing anger. Any suggestions?

There are several outlets you could try: punching bag, vigorous exercise (going on a hard run usually helps calm me down), writing (or if you're mad enough, scribbling) your feelings on paper and then tearing it up.
Throwing rocks is something I do but it's only an option if you have a place to do it: go outside to a place where no one's around and there's a lot of space. Pick up a rock and imagine a negative feelings flowing out of you and into the rock. Then chuck it as far as you can. Repeat it with more rocks until your arm is too numb to throw anymore or you feel calmer. I actually feel sad at this point sometimes and can sit down and have a good cry which also helps. |

Frustration over work and being over worked could be at play here. Find a less stressful job with better hours.

Anger is okay if you focus your anger in non-abusive ways.
What is making you angry? Maybe type a blog about your feelings. Of use your anger to motivate you in some way, perhaps to fight what is causing your anger (again as long as you don't get abusive to anyone). Probably, if you like to express yourself in words, then writing your feelings out somewhere may be best. Many online possibilities for this. Anger is a symptom of general unhappiness towards something. Understand the issue. |

Try embracing the pain of it,let it soak through you,
and find some COMPASSION for the child you once were, and the adult you are now.If you can over come it with love for yourself, try to stop blaming, and ask self,'what needs to be done?' Kindness, BLUEDOVE |

Talking help, talk out why your angry who your angry with. I suggest you don't act out negatively, that will not pay off you will be only hurting yourself. Talk, talk is good. All the best to you my friend. You are the one with all the power on how you will handle it. Think positive.

My anger can be so uncomfortable and intense, that it is often in doing pushups, talking a vigorous walk, or something to get my heart pumping so I can get all of my energy out.
I like the rock example that musicflows suggested! I'm interested in other suggestions, too. Great idea for a thread. -KAT

If you have access to video games/systems, I would play video games. For example, I find the God of War games relaxing because you can take out all your anger on virtual, generally non-human creatures so it gives you a real feeling of beating the crap out of everyone and everything without anyone getting hurt or anything getting broken. Of course there are plenty of other games out there that can give you that kind of satisfaction.
