so this week, for my dbt group, i have to put together a crisis kit... literally like a bag or something filled with things i can use when emotionally unregulated/in crisis. of course, i kind of waited until the last minute and i'm not sure what i want to put into it. people were mentioning nice smelling hand lotion... pictures of loved ones... stuff like that. any recommendations for stuff that i could pull out during crisis? and-- even better-- do you have a crisis kit or something like it? and if so, what's in yours?

My iPhone is packed with crisis coping aids, such as:
~ music ~ photography ~ Apps, e.g. mood trackers & meditation guides ~ website links, e.g. PsychCentral ~ contact list for my support team ~ games (for sublimating) ~ sketch pad ~ note pad ... etc I have all the same things on my computer and iPad at home, but the iPhone goes with me everywhere--and my crises are more numerous when I'm "out there" in the world. Good luck with your DBT work. Roadie |

I recommend putting a "Crisis Warrior" in that Kit. That is what I have, and I am that Warrior.
