I feel so horrible today, i sais hurtful words to my mother and just because of asking me repeatedly. i got so angry that i shouted to my baby, i smashed my phone and i just really want to shout at the top of my lungs. i dont know what is wrong with me, my brain tells me that this thing is too small to get rage with anger but i just can't control myself, sometimes i wanted to beat my own head for getting angry. I feel so bad cause part of me despise this emotion. i keep thinking to be calm but then when something makes me angry then i cant stop getting angry . I really need help for this

Hi Ivy,
I have just had some help from a friend in the form of "Your RESPONSE creates your bad feeling, not the other person/situation." And you say
"when something MAKES me angry." Look at it
differently: "I make mySELF angry when xyz does
something I don't like."
Blessings,
BLUEDOVE
Thanks for this!

The anger is you turning on yourself. Do not be so hard on yourself.
Thanks for this!

Ivy, I can relate. Sometimes I get so angry I tear up. If I take a few deep breaths while alone. I can usually get things under control. If that doesn't do it, I take an Ativan. Do you have any meds that could help?

Hello, ivy, and welcome to Psych Central! Sounds like you might be under a lot of stress. Is there any way you can get away for a bit--maybe take a trip, take a nap, do something for fun?

Sometimes counting to ten can help when you find yourself getting upset. Or maybe finding something safe you can beat such as a pillow.

Therapy will help you in this case. I strongly recommend you get help for yourself.
