Ok, that might sound crazy but here is my question:
I laugh at jokes, tv, with people,,,, but I have tried to pay attention to myself and don't think I 'feel' anything during that time but I am laughing. Do you guys actually 'feel' something inside when you are happy? I don't know if I have a problem sensing my emotions or if I am looking for something that is not there for anyone. It is like asking someone that just had eye surgery to see for the first time if they are seeing clearly. How do they know without a frame of reference to compare it to. How do I know if my emotions and feelings are the same as everyone else or if I am missing something when I can't feel what others feel? Is that clear as mud??? LOL (see, I laughed). All joking aside, I am not TRYING to be crazy, I really am uncertain here. |

actually i never though about that before. but i would have say after further review..that when laughing you should feel good inside and it makes you smile..largely because you feel good inside! i would imagine! hee hee idk if this helps but i hope so!

I think I laugh because I find something funny. That is not necessarily the same as "feeling good". Sometimes I smile/chuckle, not because I find a joke or situation funny but because I am enjoying a person/friend or just generally grooving :-) on being in a situation; I'm content at the moment and know it. And, sometimes there is just a physical something that can get us laughing. There are whole groups of people who "deliberately" laugh for the health benefits (laugh yoga :-)

Laughing/humor is soooo good for the brain. It is it's own antidepressant. Some very good chemicals get released and it makes the brain feel good
![]() But...not feeling all that great lately....watched a funny movie last nite - enjoyed it! My family used humor a lot during stressful times.
