Me and my best friend have drifted apart since I've become depressed and he's saying that he can't cope with me but I can't cope with someone unloading serious stuff onto me. How can I cope with this??

Hello, 98lovinglife. Perhaps, you might get some help here: Ask the Therapist

I wish you well.

Im sorry about your friendship being this way. Often times people dont know how to handle depression.. what to say? what not to say? Are you seeing a Doctor ? do you also have a Therapist? ..Sometimes we depend on our friends to listen to all our problems and it becomes just too much for others to handle and they turn away.. Sad but it happens ..

This is the times that having a Therapist is a huge help .. they are able to help your process things and learn ways to help yourself and you wont be over whelling to your friend.

Welcome to PC .. I know your first 5 posts need to be okay'd by a Mod .So keep posting
