...to my stomach. Thinking about ISIS - beheading. I know to turn the news off. There are no good solutions. I have close friends in the military & do not want them to go fight this....but it is so disturbing knowing what they are doing to humans - and forcing us to kill more.

Hi brainhi, I have to agree with you. It does make me sick too. It's just not right killing innocent people. I don't think I will be watching much news today myself.

Recent developments there and in Ukraine have been disturbing to me, as well.

For me what gets to me is not the violence factor. It's more like if you are a Westerner we have this Ebola medication for you so you stand a chance.... if you're an African... no way!

Remember Anxiety sells, so does "Aint it Awful". That is how news media makes money. There much more than that going on in the world. Thus we only see very little news.

if you'd like to change your perspective on the news, watch a movie called "Bowling for Columbine". it shows how americans are being manipulated by news reporting to see the world as dangerous and violent. there are a lot of good things going on that are never talked about.

I agree that in general the news is more about ratings/money. Personally I'm not usually sucked in by the sensationalism. I will catch up with current events checking in with a couple different sources for understanding and perspective. For my brain this war over religion and oil is especially sickening to me with all the horrible acts of voilence on human beings - and there are no really good answers.
